Update #7: Content, Link building, Traffic, Keywords, Experiments, Earnings, Expenses

Lesson 8 Module 8

Content

In April 2021, I've added 52 articles! Wow, I didn't realize how many articles I've added until now. And all of these articles are related to only one category. I am trying to gain topical relevance for this category before storming the next one. Here is the type of articles I've added:

  • 2 "Top 10 Reviews" articles;
  • 9 single product reviews;
  • 7 "Best" type of articles;
  • 34 "avalanche" articles.

So far, I've published 137 articles on this niche website.

Link Building

I haven't done any external link building. I've focused mainly on internal link building and anchor text optimization.

Expenses

In April 2021, I paid:

  • $1200 for 52 articles.

For these 52 articles, I used iWriter's and Textbroker's services. Some articles are 2000+ words, others 1000 words. The average price per 1000 words is $22, which is pretty decent.

Website's Structural Changes

Since I've added close to 80 articles for only one category, I have finally created a custom landing page for that category. The landing page has a beautiful design and hosts all articles in that category plus its sub-categories. Then, from the avalanche articles, I link back to the main category and the sub-categories (I've created landing pages for the sub-categories too).

Thankfully, Thrive Theme Builder has a setting to redirect your old category page to the newly created one.

Earnings

Here is a screenshot from my US Amazon Earnings in April.

Earnings Amazon April

In March, I had 484 clicks with 6.82% CR. In April, the CTR is the same; however, the CR has doubled.

I can only speculate about the reason, but let me try:

  • I've moved to better-looking money pages (product pages) which may result in a higher CR.
  • I've added many supportive pages, which may result in more trust for the customer.
  • The product in the main category, which I currently target with the content, is trending during spring and summer.

Traffic

We can see another month with traffic growth. In March, the traffic has grown by 400 users in comparison to February. In April, the traffic has increased by 200 users.

Keywords and Rankings

In March, I've reported that I saw some "keyword bleeding," which is a normal process, and in April, I've gained new keywords. The most crucial part is that I've gained many keywords in the #1-3 category.

This is definitely because of the KGR + Avalanche technique. Just easy to rank keywords without building links. There are thousands of these.
